Whenever I think of time, I think of my time with Semester at Sea and how it taught me that time is an arbitrary creation, and that cycles are what really matters. As we were traveling between multiple time zones just going from one port to another we would change our clocks daily or every couple of days so we could be on the time of the next country. It only mattered for obligations (which at the time I would have called “commitments”). It didn’t matter for the important stuff, like waking, quiet time, community. Time is what you make it. It is fleeting but it is also enough.

Time

The clock at central station.

I was blessed to be given the chance to be there.

With family.

With friends.
